Pasar Malam

Man! Pasar Malam aint what is was like the good old days already. went tonight, downstairs. there no longer is the atmosphere, the 气氛, anymore. What used to be a patronised, noisy place have become quiet, lifeless, boring, and hardly anyone. I think that is very very sad. Mom says it's becoz now pasar malam stuffs can get anywhere at same price too, which defeats the purpose/'monopoly' power pasar malam used to have. In the past, even if you dont need anything, dont want anything, it's nice to go and have a walk just for the atmosphere. Now it's lifelessness soon bore me. Even the food.. oh, the glorious, yummy, delicious, oily, unhealthy, sinful, tempting, and satisfying food... have lost their kick, sadly. Last time, I don't remember it having games. Now, they have games station, and they're high tech. There's this one game station, where you throw ping pong balls in, and there is an AUTOMATIC DIGITAL DETECTOR that records the amount of points you get when you the balls land into the different holes and adds them up. Not only that, the ping pong balls, after falling throw the holes, goes down, and is transported out through a pipe thingy into a basket. wow! so all the stall tender has to do is practically collect money and pass the prize later.. seriously, LOL!!!

I think life's tough for them too with so little business, but like my sister was commenting/complaining... it's no more a pasar malam, it's a 24hr pasar malam! What used to be a night market, only opened at night, and till quite late too, have changed. Now, it's open in the day too, defeating the name - Pasar Malam - which, if i remembered correctly, means night market. Moreover, instead of opening till late at night.. by 10pm, they're more or less getting ready to close. By 11pm, most business have stopped, or are closing. Man! What happened to Singapore's NIGHT MARKET??? tis was such a disappointment.

Oh well, at least i really got to enjoy my long-overdued (becoz we were just so busy and cant seem to find the right timing) Swenson date with my sch sis (shallnt write her name in case she wanna remain anonymous)... haha.. =D
not say very sharing or anything.. just chatting, and i guess that helps hold our friendship becoz we dont hang out say very very often in and out of sch, although we're making an effort this hols for the sake of our grades. haha.
I wanna watch stars again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......
