8 points of my ideal lover...
#1 - Love God (Very important!)
at least as much as I do or even more. He should then have a zealous heart for God and a compassionate heart for His people... He should be able to deny his rights and follow God's calling.
#2 - Love me wholeheartedly
That means he would not accept my weaknesses but help me overcome them with patience and perserverance. He would listen to my views and consider my feelings. Would support me even if he does not like the idea a lot, unless it is ungodly. Would correct me, but gently and firmly. An encourager. Will not give up on me even when i give up on myself.
#3 - A gentleman
Not only on the outside (what he shows) but in the heart...a person of good and godly character, principles, integrity, faith, beliefs... and would stand up for them.
#4 - Willing to share joy and sorrows
One who will not keep secrets from me... but will be open and accountable to me. One who is also willing to share his thoughts with me.
#5 - A nature and Animal Lover
Loves and appreciate God's creation and would not mind me keeping as many pets as possible =P
#6 - Has healthy relationships with others
Does not matter how many friends he have, or seems to have, but have good healthy relationships... with family, friends...
#7 - Must be God-sent
God's will and plan for him to be my life-long partner. If not what is the point of us loving so deeply when it is not God's plan for us to be together?!
#8 - Unique
Someone who is different and special from the others... doesnt need to be something big, but something that I feel for. But if he have all the above 7 qualities, then he will be definitely unique... coz he will be ideal =D
Okay... cut the formal... i will DEFINITELY not pass this on... it is indeed interesting to find out about the thoughts of different people... but *shrug* ... i dunno. If anyone who reads this would like to continue, pls feel free to do so. I know some people dont like such stuffs, so i should not pass it on, unless someone self-initiate to continue. One IMPORTANT NOTE to make:
Above mentioned is for an IDEAL partner... which is impossible. Only one can fit this high ideal criteria... that is the Son of God, JESUS... whom i already "married"... (refer to my November 2005 archive)
Other than that, i really doubt that any mortal man can really fit this description. Actually i will probably be very happy if he truly loves God and is willing to love me wholeheartedly. And he is who God has in plan to walk with me throughout the rest of my life.
If that love for God and me is that strong, he would try his best to become the best person he could be, and when he love God, will love his people, yearning to build good and healthy relationships.
But most importantly, if we both really love each other, and love God, we can overcome all obstacles together. We can slowly learn and change. The most important is still LOVE! For love can overcome all things.
