Today at service, IGNYTE@PL, we were waring by praying for our Generation, in our... SCHOOL UNIFORM!!!
Today, I really enjoyed God's presence, as we sang and worshipped the Lord, and we prayed fervoursly for our Generation - for ourselves, for the different institutes we were representing (the different Secondary schools, Junior Colleges, Polytechnics, ITEs, Army camps), for our community. That's just what we did throughout the entire service today. Pray and worship, pray and worship, and time just flies. Wow, praying makes time flies real fast.
I like this arrangement, i like today's service. It's a change of perspective. Most services, we are like receiving, receiving and receiving from the Lord, receiving the word He has for us through the pastors, receiving and asking for a touch from Him, for a visitation, for a revivial.
But today... the focus is really on God. Worship - to God, for God; prayers - to God, for God's people. Yet, we are receiving from God, a growth in our prayer life, a closeness/connection with Him as we catch His heartbeat, His desires for those around us. We are now praying for what God wants, not our individual desires and wants. Put God first!!!
Although a little uncomfortable initially, because not used to wearing anything else to church but tee and jeans, i am quite alright with wearing my school uniform to church. Becoz firstly, I am representing my school before God, interceding for her. And, I LOVE my school and aint ashame of it. yea!
will miss PHS when i graduate... soon... all too soon... when i just learnt to appreciate everything and fell in love with her... deeply in love with her... i dun wanna leave so fast.... ...
