parents went overseas for holiday, supposed to be back tonight. was really looking forward to them coming home. at the library, 6++pm. received sms from sis saying "aunt (working in tour agency) say there's an eathquake in china, so dad n mom might not be able to come back tonight. She want u to call her asap."
got shocked, a little worried. couldnt get through to my aunt for like 10min.and being alone in the still quiet library did not help.finally got through.whatever she said was exactly more or less whatever i heard from what she told my sis, when i called home.
went for music lesson. after music lesson check hp, [message from mom] : We r not able 2 fly, tremor here. SMS to mum any news (TV) regards Chengdu or SiChuan. We r safe & likely to sleep in Chengdu airport tonight. Pray for us.
Praise Jesus! At least they are safe. Hearing the news of hundreds of pple buried, injured, and the earthquake of magnitude >7, with tremors not only in China, but even in Thailand and Pakistan, i really say "THANK YOU LORD! PRAISE YOU JESUS!" at least they are safe.
but though they are 'safe', i'm still worried for them. cant help it. this is the closest my family has ever been to a natural disaster, so it worries me. Moreover, i dun know how long will they be stuck in the airport. Hopefully not long. The airport is not Beijing and Shanghai airport, where the place is quite good/comfortable conditions, not too bad. where they are now is probably not comfortable like singapore airport, where stranded there also not too bad. the airport there and its facilities may not be good, the place may be very crowded, dad may not be feeling too well becoz he quite a number of times get unwell overseas (due to stress and change in climate), and well, i dunno. there's a chance there's more aftershocks to come (that's the bad thing about learning geography. you know all these stuffs). and according to geo knowledge, sometimes aftershocks can be worse than the earthquake itself. though that WONT happen, becoz God WILL protect them!!!
geez. not only did i missed celebrating mothers' day with mom, they have a bonus present of being stranded in china, on the day they are supposed to return to our sides.

yesterday superb BM, DM... this morning was a big U-turn. being besides Ed for 2 hours, we laughed and laughed like crazy. i was at superb HM, AM, GM. Then, the end of day, got this bad news, as well as a troubled fren came to find me to share her troubles. pls dun get it wrong dear fren, i seriously appreciate you coming all the way down to share with me and confide in me. i hope talking to me helped you. it's just that i'm angry with the way the devil is attacking me directly, and attacking me even more hurtful by attacking those around me, people whom i dearly loved.
"Lord, you know my fears and worries. Yes Lord, i may be worrying unneccessarily, but i lift them all to you. Take them from me, and may your peace and strength dwell in me. Protect my parents and everyone else in these earthquake/tremor affected areas. May you send your angels to watch and guard over dad and mom. Bring them back soon, and bring them back safely. I praise you and thank you for protecting them and preserving their lives, especially since they are very close (if i'm not wrong) to the region where the earthquake focus is. I thank you that they sent an sms back to us, so that we will be filled with peace knowing that they are indeed safe, and they are indeed in your hands. I thank you Lord, and bless you.
