Hypocrisy... Caring (or not)...

"I can't stand religious hypocrites. They talk about religion, but they're no better than I am. That's why I don't like all this religious stuff."
This man didn't realize it, but he was agreeing with God. God has made it clear that He can't stand hypocrisy either. It's ironic, though, that something God opposes is used by some people as an excuse not to seek Him.
--Our Daily Bread--

What gives a non-believer so much rights to judge a 'religious' person, since they themselves are usually no better than them. Hypocrisy, a topic i came to dislike hearing, becoz it addresses many a times the 'childishness' of so many so-called mature people. Like our Daily Bread mentioned, people use hypocrisy as an excuse not to seek God. A question i like to ask when people like to mention about hypocrisy, especially people from certain religions... why do you just judge these people? Aren't others non-religious people just as hypocritic? Perhaps right now i'm not in the best state of mind and emotion to address this issue and really express my view. But one thing this passage did, was to remind me of a conversation i had with someone yesterday.

Someone i know, a friend, was saying how people were just pretending to care, doing things for the sake of doing, instead of really out of love, care and concern; that people care out of responsibility and not out of their own willingness. This friend of mine was very affected by it, and i really wonder why. I wonder why this friend can have such immature mindset.

An sms i receive: Well, wad i'm actually doing is that I'll just carry on with life. It's just that i can't accept people who do not care, and that u guys are not the only ones that can help me.

My reply: Ok. May God guide u. Like i say, the decision is urs. Just rmb, even if everyone fails, or not, u haf to urself fight.
u DONT know how much pple care, just coz they're bad at showing. U expect pple2give, but dun give in return. It can b quite tiring & discouraging 2 care 4 someone. i wish u weren so sensitive, or rather desensitised.

SERIOUSLY, this friend does not know how much people truly cares. Please lah, what about responsibility?! If it's really for the sake of responsibility, you making things difficult, playing tough and hard-to-get with them, they'll long ago give up liao. For goodness sake, we're all youths. We're not very good at persisting to do things that don't matter to us, especially if it's through a long term. If people 问候你 out of responsibility, and you keep pouring cold water at them, you think they'll really still persist until now? Please lor. Think about it. Youths leh. With you being so inconsistent, anyone caring for you out of responsibility will long ago give up le leh. But why do we still cling on? Becoz we truly care. Every time we heard you're going through big struggle, we worry for you, we pray for you, we try our best to help you. But no, that's not enough for you.

Have you even considered that they themselves, though they're trying to care and connect with you, are actually themselves struggling through various issues?? NO. You only wonder why pple ask so vague questions. Even if they do, does this stop one from sharing? NO. My leader asked me how's my week... and i honestly said about feeling down & out on mon to wed, the previous wk, and how i'm emotionally back on my feet on thurs onwards.

Look, you're so wrong my friend, in saying that no one cares, we don't care. We care! But apparently, you don't. This sounds harsh, but pardon me. I have not been having a great day myself too. When talking about caring, i'm not talking about myself. I'm talking on behalf of the people i know who cares for you, but you pushed their cares away. Don't forget, the friendship between you and them may not have been built up, thus though they care and want so much to reach out, they are also struggling in how to portray their love to you, how to show care towards you.

Shoot! I'm not getting what i want to say out. My mind isnt thinking straight. It's tired. So, i'll end off with putting what Fern wrote regarding this issue last year... maybe that can explain better.
