Honours Nite - a short memo

Just a short jot down, while waiting for my hair to dry so i can go and ZZZzzzz.....


Really want to thank God for all He has done today, tonight, and even guided us and helped us, throughout the whole journey of planning this event. I sent an sms out to those i worked closely with, that goes something like this: "We have run the race, and had finished it, and can now look back at the good work we had done, and be proud of it."


Indeed this whole journey, being in the main planning committee, being one of the overseers of this huge school event - Thanksgiving & Honours Night 2007 - has really been like a race, a race against time, feeling tired out, exhausted at times, difficult at times, demanding both physically and mentally, and maybe a little stressed up. However, the other halve of the race was exciting, interesting, learning different things, trying out different strategies/ideas that can work to improve, building relationships, gaining the experience, and now (of course) feeling the victory, the triumphant joy!!!


It has indeed been God's mercy that had guided us, and made this event quite successful. He granted us good weather, strength, alertness, and his favour had never left us. This song tat I heard today at the dinner, really describes all we had been through in this event, and even in my own personal life. It's called "It's been mercy all the way..." (hope i can get the lyrics and the piece)


Well, the race of this event is over. From the start where Ms Lim asked for volunteers to help out, the day of my Chinese O Level written papers (28th May), till tonight (or should i say last night, looking at the time) - 6th July. The last 100m was very tedious for many of us, a splitting headache and much lack of sleep, and a lot of brain juice being drained out, a test of the physical, mental, emotional, and maybe even spiritual. A test of perseverence, patience, wisdom, managment, prioritising, relations, courage, alertness, 'detailedness'...


But the race of my life aint over yet, and I cant give up... Persevere!!! Press on!!! Now that the whole event is over, I gotta face the mountain of hw that is awaiting me. X(


God has been Great!!! God has been Good!!! God has poured out his blessings on us, guiding us. Indeed, to God be the Glory.


Hair should be dry now bah... Good nite.
